Diversion Class Schedule

Education & Events

There are two Diversion Classes offered at Rosecrance Jackson Centers, for those 13-20 years old.  One focuses on alcohol, the other on cannabis.  Those who would need to take the include:

  • Have begun to experience negative consequences related to alcohol/cannibis use (but who do not meet diagnostic criteria for alcohol/cannabis use disorder)
  • Have been charged with a minor in possession or frequenting a disorderly house
  • Have violated school policy

Class objectives:

  • Interrupt alcohol/cannabis use progression
  • Identify past and current impact of their alcohol/cannabis use
  • Assist participants in planning for their future


  • Rosecrance Jackson Centers does not charge a fee for any Prevention Education Services funded by the Iowa Department of Public Health's Integrated Provider Network Grant
